I made a post on the old forums about the team I used to get the lansat berry that was using a durant team.
ecpl.orgfree.com/smforum/index.php?topic=6.msg1903#msg1903
This type of team is pretty good and runs through most teams but is pretty weak to protect, where the best you get is a weird 50/50 against a computer... most people are using a three sweeper strat involving mega kangaskan and they have streaks much higher then my own. This type of team also takes a very long time in between battles. You spend like 10 turns setting up crawdaunt which is kind of annoying.
I've been spending a bit of time in triples recently though, it seems MUCH easier and it feels like I'm in more control through the whole battle. If anyone is trying to farm up battle tower points, I would recommend triples. Right now I'm using:
Talonflame@choice band
Adamant / gale wings
80hp/252atk/172spe
-Brave Bird
-Flare Blitz
-U turn
-Steel wing
I need all the power I can get from choice band talonflame whose job is to destroy anything faster then greninja before he sets up matblock, or possible tailwind users (braviary, moltres, unfezant, articuno). I would do life orb but I need the choice band boost to KO shuca berry raikou after garchomp earthquake. Steel wing is only ever used on carbink who could set up trick room.
Garchomp@Yache Berry
Jolly / rough skin
4hp/252atk/252spe
-Protect
-Earthquake
-Rockslide
-Dragonclaw
Now that I look at it, rockslide should probably be crunch or something to get rid of the trick room users. I've missed quite a few rockslides, but being able to flinch all the other pokemon, in addition to a dark pulse flinch chance, is pretty funny and it's the doubles garchomp I use againt people so I'm not going to change it.
Greninja@focus sash
Timid / protean
4hp/252spatk/252spe
-Matblock
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Dark Pulse
Love this pokemon, first turn matblock protects him from garchomp earthquake and lets talonflame take out a pokemon, usually for free. I only ever use dark pulse or ice beam to take out pokemon who mess up my first turn strat that talonflame can't take out. This opening is a bit different from most triples openers I've seen just because I don't run tailwind on talonflame. Garchomp is usually fast enough and bulky enough to not need it, and powerful enough to 2 shot everything so the free matblock turn does so much work.
Kangaskan@kangaskanite
Adamant / scrappy
4hp/252atk/252spe
-Fake Out
-Sucker Punch
-Power up Punch
-Return
UUUH I have never used power up punch, I should probably change it, but honestly I've never had to use kangaskan for anything other then fake out. The free turns it provides is usually enough to clean up after the starters, and I usually bring in scrafty to fake out before him anyways because scrafty has ice punch and intimidate, which normally is the shit I need to take care of if anyone dies.
Scrafty@chople berry (should really be assault vest tho)
Adamant / intimidate
152hp/252atk/100spe
-Fake out
-Drain punch
-Crunch
-Ice punch
Just enough speed to outspeed base 70 pokemon that mess me up (skarmory, ludiculo mostly) but I made it for my normal doubles play. It provides a bunch of free turns, is really bulky, takes care of a lot of the trick room users that could cause my team problems. I would have assault vest over chople berry but it's on my ecpl team and I don't want to forget to swap items lol.
Heracross@choice scarf
Adamant / moxie
4hp/252atk/252spe
-Close Combat
-Megahorn
-Rockslide
-Earthquake
With all the free turns my team ends up getting through matblock and fake out it's not hard to see him get to +2 or more when he's out. I switch him in a lot if I need greninja matblock again since he resists garchomp earthquake.
This team has troubles against tailwind, jolteon and aerodactyl. I just got to my 100 streak and tbh it was pretty easy, anything that is a problem can be worked around with fake outs and brave bird being so strong. Just thought I'd make a post seeing what other people have been doing in the maison.
