My mind wandered (at work) and I got curious, how many dual-type teams of 6 are possible?
Well, I probably could've Google'd the answer, but where's the fun in that? I found the following dual-types have at least 6 (different evo line) Pokemon that could be used to make a team:
-Bug/Flying
-Bug/Poison
-Bug/Steel
-Normal/Flying
-Rock/Water

There's a few other dual types that had 5, or maybe 4, if you wanted to limit yourself in 4 Pokemon doubles (I didn't bother noting those). I could've also missed one or two, but I'm pretty sure this is the whole list.

I'm intrigued by this concept, and I think I'll build at least one of these teams (either Rock/Water or Bug/Steel).

What do you think?

There's only 5, including Rayquaza. The other 4 could make a decent 4v4 Doubles team, but you'd have no other options if there's no legendaries.

Even for forming teams of 4. There wouldn't be a whole lot of Balance. I'm sure it would be a meta with a clearly strongest team.

For this thread, it's less about it contributing to a tournament theme, and more about the fun of just having a different theme to build a team off of. With a limited pool of Pokemon to pull from, I'd be given the challenge of finding good move sets and such to really make them mesh as a team.

An interesting concept. I remember one group I was part odf had a Rock/Steel Leader. But he just had Rock and Steel types in his party. Bug Poison would be fun. Or Normal Flying, maybe I'll make one too and we can have a nifty battle.

I've already gotten 5 normal/flying done (Farfetch'd, Pidgeot, Fearow, Staraptor, and Swellow). I'm sure I'll have 6 or more within the next couple of months depending on how Transfer works out. I've never decided on what I want to do with Braviary, but I should get on that soon.
